last immersion was..................

Last February 27, 2009 was the end of our immersion in Pagatpat for this semester. It was though tiring because a lot of my classmates were not able to join and a lot got sick so there were just a number of us who joined our last immersion for this year. Truly the immersion helped us a lot in interacting with different kinds of people having various kinds of personalities, lifestyle and living, and it indeed created a spark that made us awake of the present status of diverse people, their day to day living away from the city making their lives simple. It was a fun-filled experience of exposing myself away from home and away from the lifestyle I used to have since I was young.....................Hope to have more immersions with more challenging activities:-]

A comment on the Holy Father's message...........

The Pope's message awakens those who are called as "digital immigrants" specifically our generation today in which a lot of highly technologized gadgets that we know definitely affects our social and traditional communication process. The Pope just wanted to tell us that in spite we're currently in modern times summons up this highly revolutionized technologies, we should not use this hitech ways of communication to destroy ones life, dignity and reputation as a human being. We should not forget the importance of respecting others by ways of respecting their rights as well. This message of the Holy Father will remain a significant challenge to everyone, not necessarily change our modern technologies right now but to bare always in mind that whatever we're doing there are always consequences behind it and we must live out ways/plans of God on everything despite of the fact that our world is developing and changing through the years......

Do community mapping help the community...........

Community mapping do help the community because it aids the less articulate in becoming more aware of their environment and it gives an opportunity to value their community making it a better place to live in.It helps the people understand and become sensitive regarding of the needs of their place in order to uplift its significance to others.It makes a certain person attain its ways of how he truly looks his area as part of his life as a person...

Is a way that gives people an image or overview of how their community looks like...It helps us to understand our place better and is a special tool of communication especially for the less articulate one....

As part of DevCom's job that is to promote Mindanao into its see-through success and stability, they launched this project promoting the undeniable picturesque of Mindanao. It's helpful especially for the local tourists of Mindanao to know and be able to explore the islands hidden treasure and beauty.
